Atmosphere like a local city Shrine.
About Ogikubo Hachiman Shrine
It is a guardian of the former Kamisu village that is said to have been built about 1800 years ago.
It is a historic shrine where Minamoto Yoriyoshi and Ota Dori prayed for victory. There are many large trees in the precinct, leaving the atmosphere of the Musashino forest. The wooden gate and main hall are tasteful, and worshipers were visiting one after another.
I was surprised that a stone statue of a rose was placed on the stone steps in front of the main hall.
What I liked most was the oldest round grin-like Shiba in the ward, built in 1679. A Shiba in the Edo period was alive. I
t was a sacred ground located along the Oume Kaido Road, which has a lot of traffic.
