About Igusa Hachimangu Shrine
Igusa Hachimangu Shrine is located outside of Suginami-ku, a residential area of Tokyo.
From Ogikubo Station north exit of JR Chuo Line It is in a place immediately from Igusa Hachimangu bus stop by Kanto bus.
It is believed that Minamoto Yoritomo and Ota Do-kan prayed for victory, and in 1649, they received a six-stone letter of insignia from the Edo Shogunate.
Near the east side of the precinct, a residence for the Middle Jomon period (about 4,000 years ago) was found, and many pottery was found.
The feast day is centered on October 1st, and every three years the shrine visits the Shinto shrine, and every five years the shrine of the rare drifting horse that takes over the old days of Kamakura is held.
The approach is well known for a very long time, as a drifting horse is held.
