Shinjuku Hanazono Shrine Tori no Ichi 2019 (Ninotori)

Shinjuku Hanazono Shrine “Tori no Ichi” Ninotori is from November 19th to 20th.

In November 2019, a traditional event “Otori Festival (Shinjuku Tori no Ichi)” is held at Hanazono Shrine in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
This year, there are two “day of the Tori” in November, “Ichi no tori (November 7th to November 8th)” and “Ni no tori (November 19th to 20th)” twice.

Within the precincts of Shinjuku Hanazono Shrine, there are about 900 lanterns lined up for two days, the eve of the Tori no Ichi and the main festival, and about 60 rake merchants selling lucky rakes.
There are more than 200 stalls other than rake dealers on the precincts of Hanazono Shrine and on the sidewalk of Yasukuni Street.

It is crowded with people who seek decoration rakes and lucky charms for good luck and business until around 2:00 every day.
The lively voices of street vendors selling rakes are an indispensable feature of the city of Shinjuku, where the mentoring performance is held.
