The 28th Hagi / Setagaya Bakumatsu Restoration Festival will be held at Shoin Shrine and Shoin Shrine Shopping Street in Setagaya, Tokyo.
An autumn festival held before and after the annual festival of Shoin Shrine on October 27th (Yoshida Shoin’s death date).
On the day of the Setagaya Bakumatsu Restoration Festival, there was a parade of people at the end of the Edo period, including Matsuda Yoshida, and a parade of people dressed as a strange soldier formed by Takasugi Sakusaku. Exhibitions are held.
In the precincts of Setagaya Shoto Shrine, “Aizu Shirotora Dance” and “Bakumatsu History Lecture” will be performed.
On the evening of the 26th (Sat), there will also be a “Matsumaki Jazz Night” where you can enjoy JAZZ live in a bonfire.
The “Bushimatsu no Shishi / Military Corps Parade” is scheduled to start at 14:30 on the 27th (Sunday), go through the Shoto Shrine shopping street, and return to the Shoto Shrine at 15:30.
