Hibiya Park Marunouchi Ondo Dance Festival 2019

This is the 17th time this year. This is a Bon Odori festival that is crowded by large fountains from young people to foreigners, office workers and local residents.

Bon dance festival which was revived in commemoration of the opening of Hibiya Park in 2003. Originally opened in 1932 by shopkeepers such as Marunouchi in an attempt to bring the Showa economy to a recession.

The “Marunouchi Ondo” created at that time changed its place name and spread throughout Japan as “Tokyo Ondo”.

On the day of the event, we will create a circle of ten and twenty around the large fountain in the park and dance “Marunouchi Ondo”. Many familiar stalls such as yakitori and fried chicken are also open.
