The films that have been screened so far include Mamoru Hosoda’s “The Girl Who Takes Time”, Gisaburo Sugi’s “Galaxy Railway Night”, Makoto Shinkai’s “5 centimeters per second”, Mamoru Hosoda ’s “Summer Wars” Etc.
This time, director Naoto Katasesu made a movie based on this original story by Fumiyo.
“In a corner of this world” to be screened this time is a hit work that continues to be screened for an unusual long run.
In December 2019, another version with a new scene will be released, “In the corners of this world.”
On the day, a huge screen was installed in front of the Tokyo National Museum and the main building, and a kitchen car selling food and drinks opened around the venue.
You can enjoy watching movies in a picnic mood.
Although watching movies at “Museum at Outdoor Cinema” is free, admission to the Tokyo National Museum is required.
Also, please note that the outdoor cinema will be canceled in case of rain.
There are about 1,000 chair seats each day, but depending on the congestion, you may not be able to sit.
Even if you can’t sit in the seat, you can sit on the lawn or around the venue to enjoy the outdoor cinema, so we recommend that you go out with a rug such as a leisure seat.
