In 1982, Kinchicho Kawachi Ondo, which started on the second floor of the pachinko parlor “Ginsei” in Kinshicho, Tokyo, will be demonstrated in Tokyo by passionate fans of Kawachi Ondo, led by reporter Keiji Asakura.
And the cooperation of volunteers from the local Kinshicho Shopping Street Promotion Association. Beginning from a small scale, this two-day Bon Odori has gradually become a feature of the downtown area of Tokyo in the summer despite Osaka’s performing arts, and is now the largest in Japan where more than 30,000 fans gather from all over the country. I grew up in the Bon Dance.
Kinshicho Kawachi Ondo is a full-length ginger and live performance. The accompaniment is enthusiastic like shamisen, drums, electric guitars and outdoor festivals, and the number of younger generations known through SNS is increasing every year regardless of gender. Dance is very different from other Bon Odori, etc., and anyone can participate on the spot and there are no restrictions to create a ream.
As for the dances unique to Kawachi Ondo, such as “hand dance” and “mambo”, it is characterized by the fact that it has changed from the original Osaka / Kawachi style to the Tokyo style in more than thirty years and continues to evolve as a new performing art. .
